The earthquake and flood has shown us again how powerful the nature is and that we can’t control it. I feel sincere grieve for all the victims, the ones that died and even more the ones that survived but lost beloved ones.
Please consider how well off you are and donate to one of the many organizations like the red cross, that are now helping to soften the most horrible sufferings!
2. Do You Get Enough Calcium? Did you know that about three quarters of North Americans don't eat enough calcium with their diet to meet their daily calcium needs?
Calcium is a very important mineral for our body: it is used to build bones and teeth. If you don’t get enough calcium, your bones might weaken and in the long run you could even get the serious disease called osteoporosis. This is especially common with women above 50 years and leads to so-called “glass bones” that break with the slightest force. Osteoporosis is directly linked with a lack of calcium. The recommended dose of calcium is 1,200 - 1,500 milligrams a day.
Good sources of calcium are dairy products such as milk, yogurt and cheese. Although the calcium found in dairy is not easily digested by the human body, the sheer quantity of it makes dairy products an important ingredient in your diet.
An even better source for calcium is vegetables. Yes, even better than dairy products! The calcium in vegetables is already in a fully digestible state. Furthermore the vegetables contain other nutrients necessary for maximum absorption.

4. "Powerful Reasons" Build Your Dream Body
Having powerful reasons for attaining and then maintaining your goal body is the determining factor for if, and when you’re going to reach your desired goal body - and also to how long you’re going to maintain this new, tight, firm body. Remember, our goal is permanent weight loss and for permanent weight loss, you’ll need powerful reasons that evolve and mature with you life.
Let me give you an example of the power of reasons. Let’s say, that, Jane goes through this whole program, chooses powerful reasons to initially lose the weight, perhaps to look great at her 10 year high school reunion.
She successfully drops the weight in record time. Then after the reunion is over, knowing that she needs to set up another list of powerful reasons to keep the weight off, she examines her life and decides that maintaining her weight loss is vital to her health and also to reach all the business goals she has set up for the coming year. And on top of all that, she sets another goal to look great in a bikini during her December vacation to the Caribbean.
Now those are powerful reasons for her to keep the weight off. Unfortunately, after Jane gets back from her Caribbean vacation and she’s comfortable with the promotions that she’s received at work over the last year, she begins to settle into her new life and forgets the importance of always having powerful reasons to maintain her weight.
So during the next few months, she begins to eat a few more unhealthy snacks in her new office, and she begins to drink a few drinks at her weekly business meetings, and then she misses a few weeks of exercise because of late hours at the office. And finally after several months, Jane notices how much weight she’s gained back and how little energy she has.
Now this is a very unfortunate scenario because now Jane’s confidence level drops and in time her boss notices and puts more pressure on her to perform like she used to which begins to adversely affect her health and her stress level. And to top it off, when Jane gets stressed, she eats more and becomes even less motivated to exercise.
I’ve seen this happen hundreds of times in my career – people simply stop making health a priority, forgetting it was their healthy lifestyle that originally made it possible for them to achieve their great job and still have energy to spend quality time with their family, which allowed them to feel great about themselves and the direction of their lives.
Let’s look at it this way for a moment. What if you had to lose 40 pounds over the next 90 days or you were going to die? Or, what if one of your children was going to die if they didn’t lose 40 pounds, and it was up to you to learn all you could and then lead by example and lose the weight first?
Now these examples may seem a bit harsh, but your life DOES depend on your success here, and so does the life of your children and their children as well. And this is how we set powerful reasons. The example you set by the way you live is exactly what your children will learn and in turn, that’s how they’ll live their lives and inadvertently that’s how they’re going to teach their children to live.
And if you think for a moment that your own life is not on the line here, you’re missing the big picture. You WILL die much sooner if you don’t take care of yourself now, and worse yet, you won’t have the energy or the great body to enjoy life to its fullest.
In today’s society, without a nice body, people subconsciously make life a bit harder for you.
You see it all the time. People who are in good shape almost always get treated differently by others. Now I’m not saying that’s fair, but it’s a fact of life, so why not take advantage of it? You see, you can’t change the fact that most everybody else in the world seems to treat good-looking people better, but you can change the one person who really matters, and that’s you. You can make yourself as strong and healthy-looking as possible, making life easier for you and setting a good example for your children so that they can also live a more successful and healthy life.
You see, powerful reasons are “why” we achieve our goals.
