1. Ramblings

Probably you’re in the same pre-Christmas stress than I’m: Shopping for the last gifts, decorating the house and the all-important Christmas tree.

Organizing the dinner/lunch with family and friends….

Preparing everything for the so-called most quiet and peaceful time of the year.

Let me wish you a wonderful merry Christmas and a most fascinating New Year 2005!

2. Truth About Cellulite

If you are older than eighteen and you don’t earn your living as a supermodel, changes are that you suffer cellulite.

Like most of us do. :-(

In fact, millions of women, to varying degrees, suffer with cellulite making it the most common diet related problem.

We spend millions of dollars each year on creams, potions, liposuction, massages, etc. in an effort to get rid of cellulite. But most of the times without any effect.

To find a remedy for your personal type of cellulite it is important that you understand something about the skin.

It's very elastic, stretching when you move. Furthermore it is attached to muscles, which are far less elastic than the skin itself.

That’s why growing fat cells can cause cellulite: Once the cords attaching skin to muscles and bones reach their limit, and the fat cells are still expanding, the cords stop and the skin in between keeps going.

Now you’ve got the ever hated cellulite.

Why is cellulite so hard to get rid of?

This is something nature has taken care of: the areas of greater fat concentration appear to be the last to go.

In order to get rid of the look of cellulite you must get rid of the fat that is causing it. Remember in the realm of normal people twenty to twenty-five percent body fat is normal for a woman, while fifteen to twenty percent is normal for a male.

Dieting can be deceiving; because it doesn’t necessarily make you lose the fat at the places where you want to lose it, but sometimes even worse: you lose fat at the places you’d like to have it (Think about a gorgeous décolleté).

The bottom line is that dieting down is tough work indeed and you MUST follow a proven system to get this fat off - otherwise you'll end up more frustrated than anything else.

The plain truth is this...Body fat must be reduced in a very specific way. It’s not just diet or just exercise.

If you really want to reduce your body fat, you must first cleanse your body, modify your eating habits (include plenty of fresh raw vegetables and lean protein), drink between 1/2 - 1 gallon of water each day.

If you do this and diet and exercise, then you will get results. Not in one day and not in one week, but in a few month. Results, that everyone will notice.

4. Are your internal questions helping you or hurting you?

Two main activities our minds engage in consciously are affirming and questioning.

The problem is, most people use questions to make themselves feel guilty, depressed, get angry, and many other unsupportive emotions, limiting what they'd be willing to DO at any moment.

When you feel lousy, not confident, ugly, stupid, foggy, it's hard to get your best from yourself. And questioning, one of the primary activities of your mind, plays a big role in how you feel every minute of every day.

Here's an example:

The mind's question: "Why am I so fat?"

The mind's answer: "Because you eat too much. You feel like you are worthless and since that's the way it is, any attempt you engage in to lose weight, I (your subconscious) will thwart. You are not worth all the trouble of becoming thin. Why not just relax here on the couch, grab that terrific tasting chip dip you just bought and finish it?

Isn't that pretty typical of some of the internal dialogs you have with yourself on a regular basis? Be honest.

With the use of anti-depressants on the rise, it must be a pretty common practice.

If your questions & goals are unreasonable, you'll get answers that will keep you from reaching those goals. If you ask how you can lose 25 lbs. in a week, you'll get answers like starve myself, live on the treadmill, etc. And when you try to implement those answers, you'll get discouraged and tell everyone that no matter what you do you can't seem to lose the weight... or quit smoking, or go out in crowds, or whatever your silly dream was.

And you'll become a person that stops trying certain things. You could be great at some things, but in those other areas of life where your questions stink - forget it.

Questioning can just as easily work for you in the positive direction.

Example: What can I do to drop 25 lbs. within 4-6 months? (Challenging, but very possible)

Your mind comes up with good answers to good questions. You could read food labels, join a health club, get a walking buddy or workout partner, buy some home exercise equipment (AND use it), get a good low-fat cookbook, stop eating fast food, like myself more, etc.

You don't have to implement all this at once. Do a few things. Succeed, then add a few more. Soon, you have a whole new set of habits. Your confidence will be higher.

And you'll be on your way.

All because you used your mind to ask empowering questions instead of ones that only make you feel like a worthless failure.

Disempowering questions sound like this:

Why does this always happen to me?

When will I ever learn?

Why do I even bother?

If I don't study now, what's the worst that could happen?

Why can't someone else do this?

What is wrong with me?

Questions like these will chop you down in an instant and you'll never know why you can't achieve even the most simple goals...

And you'll continue to blame everyone but yourself for your failures.

Not you though, because you know better.
