1. The Moment You Begin Even though today may be far from perfect, it is the perfect place from which to move positively and powerfully ahead. Even though the timing is not completely ideal, this is indeed the ideal time to begin doing whatever you can to get wherever you desire to go. The moment you begin to take positive, effective steps toward your goal, you are no longer behind. Because the direction in which you are headed is vastly more significant than where you happen to be. This is the moment you can begin to live at a higher level of commitment to those things you truly value. You've learned from the past what has always held you back and what has always moved you forward, so go with those things you know will move you ahead. There are challenges, to be sure, and not everything will go the way you planned. But that's no reason to deny yourself the outstanding opportunity that stands right now in front of you. You have the power, right this moment, to make this day one of those days that you'll always look back upon with satisfaction and delight. The day will quickly pass by, regardless of what you do with it, and with a little extra effort you can indeed make it great. Copyright 2001 Ralph S. Marston, Jr.
2. Get the most out of the Treadmill In general, running on a treadmill is less demanding than running on the road at the same speed. There are a couple of reasons for this, including: there's no air resistance inside and the treadmill's moving surface helps propel you forward. But if you want your treadmill runs to be as physically challenging and as intense as your road runs, there's a simple solution: Set the treadmill's incline at 1% and exercise at your usual road speed. And if you'd like to take a break from running, but would like to exercise at the same intensity, you can increase the incline up to 10% and walk briskly uphill while pumping your arms back and forth.

4. Why Dieting is NOT the best way to lose weight and keep it off.
How many times have you heard a friend say: "I've been on this diet, and that diet, and I'm getting ready to go on this other diet"? DIETS DON'T WORK! Or have you ever had any long-lasting success with diets? Before you rise up in protest, consider this: Over 90% of dieters fail -- they gain back all the weight they lost, and many gain back even more. Why don't diets work? Simple -- you can't keep them up in the long-term. Especially when it comes to diets where you're eating pre-packaged foods or odd combinations of foods, diets are short-term solutions. You're not going to spend the rest of your life mixing up protein shakes or eating a ton of grapefruit! And when you go on a diet and restrict your calories, your body's system thinks there's a famine coming. So it slows down your metabolism and squeezes every last bit of nutrition from the few calories you're giving it. That's your body's natural response -- but your weight loss slows to a crawl, you keep getting hungrier, and pretty soon you give up your diet and go back to the Haagen-Dazs. Then what happens? Your metabolism stays slower, and you gain even more weight back than you lost during your diet. All the weight comes back -- and maybe more. This is called the jojo-effect. Then what do most of us do? Decide to go on another diet! We think, "Maybe this one is the magic one that'll really work..." And so the cycle starts up again... "It's a vicious cycle that we can't get out of. We diet. It makes us feel hungry and deprived. That makes us feel bad. We eat. We feel bad about the eating... and then we start dieting again." I don't know about you, but for me, even the thought of dieting makes me feel hungry! Start breaking this insane and unsuccessfull habit by asking yourself what you really want to accomplish by losing weight. Go through the times when you've dieted in the past. Have you been getting the results you wanted from dieting? If you aren't, stop dieting now! Important: Just my suggesting that you stop dieting may scare you. I don't want you to think that you're going to go out of control and strip the kitchen bare, then end up too wide to fit through the kitchen doors. Dieting is about short-term control that you can't keep up --true weight loss is about letting go in the long term and trusting your body to know what it wants.
Make a list of positive things you want to achieve and start NOT thinking any more about calories and diets. Free your mind from the painful thoughts of dieting, thoughts that end up making you eat more than you actually want! More on how to loose weight once you have stopped thinking about dieting in the next issue.
5. Body Wraps will help you to loose inches and even weight A body wrap is a natural alternative to plastic surgery and to dieting. It slenderizes and contours your body shape in only an hour. The herbal wrap produces therapeutic and cosmetic benefits by cleansing the body of toxins and reducing inches. The body wrap is very popular with massage therapists and salon technicians for that very reason. You can use the body wrap to relieve yourself from pain due to injury and illness. A body wrap can also improve your overall health by DETOXIFYING the body. The "Wrap Yourself Slim" self-made wraps are so easy to do that you do NOT need any help from others. Which will make it much more economical for you to use them. Instead of paying a salon 50+ USD for one body wrap you can do it yourself with the formulas and techniques shown in
